How to use it
Naming a feeling is the first step to managing it.
Put it where feelings happen
Print it at A4 and put it up at child height — the kitchen, a bedroom door or a calm-down corner.
Point, don’t quiz
When feelings run high, invite your child to point to the picture that matches. It’s easier than finding the words.
Name it back
“You’re feeling disappointed.” Being understood is what settles a child, not being talked out of the feeling.
